Rosebud's Macaroni & Cheese
Rosebud's Real Food owner, Amber, shared this healthy twist on Macaroni & Cheese! The original recipe is courtesy of Jane Lavy.



Cook macaroni. Mix together organic flour, Rosebud's Sassy Salt (can use Rosebud's SOS also), black pepper, and raw milk. Add mixture to cooked macaroni. Add raw Colby cheese, homemade velveeta cheese, and raw butter. Stir everything together. Put macaroni mixture in 9 x 13 pan and cover 3/4 of the way with raw milk. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Stir to mix the cheese. Add 1 cup of grated Colby on top. Bake 20 minutes or until brown on top. Watch everyone devour it up and feel good about it!

BONUS - Rosebud's Better than Velveeta Cheese Sauce Recipe:

  • 1 # raw shredded cheese (Colby will be most like Velveeta, but your favorite cheese works too!)
  • 1 TBSP Great Lakes Gelatin (Knox Gelatin will also work)
  • 1 cup Bone Broth - boiling (water works also, we just like to sneak bone broth in whenever we can)

Add cheese and gelatin to blender. Add boiling water. Blend well. Pour into a loaf pan and refrigerate or pour directly over desired dish.
